There is a WPDCP/ Womens Level I-IV Skill Development Curriculum workshop being held in Lansing, MI on
September 24th (12:30PM 7:30PM) and 25th (8:00AM 12:00PM) at Michigan State University.
The deadline to register for this course via fax, phone or mail is September 10, 2004.
What is the WPDCP Program?
This new course is the first discipline-specific education to be introduced under the Professional Development Certification Program.
Course Overview:
* Establishes a solid foundation for coacheson gymnastics fundamentals
* Breaks down beginning level skills for Junior OlympicLevels I-IV.
* Provides hands on instruction for Vault, Bars, Beam,Dance, and Tumbling.
* Lectures and video training on Coaching 101, Psychology,and Coaching Philosophy.
How do I become certified?
* Complete the two-day, 12-hour course.Through the use of a text, a coordinating video, and hands on drill andspotting instruction, the course is taught by our National Instructors.
* To attend, you must be a minimum of 16 years old, andeither a Professional or Instructor member of USA Gymnastics. For anadditional fee, non-members can attend and will be given a complimentaryone-year Instructor membership.
